Kevin Anderson

Kevin Anderson, 55 of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away at home on October 17, 2017. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday, October 29, 2017 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to the family. Kevin Howard Anderson was born on February 12, 1961, in Iowa City; he was born 8 minutes earlier than his twin brother, Kelly. They were the sons of Eugene Howard and Betty Mae (Lemley) Anderson. He attended school in the Marshalltown Community School District graduating with the class of 1979. Kevin was united in marriage to Shellie Whitmore and they were blessed with two wonderful daughters, Shannon and Tabatha, and they later divorced. On September 16, 2006, Kevin was married to Davette Weuve at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Kevin had lived in Marshalltown all of his life and worked for K & M Manufacturing and when they closed he went to work for MICA, as a maintenance and repairman. He enjoyed fishing, camping, metal detecting and mushroom hunting, collecting coins and arrowhead hunting. Left to carry on his memory are his daughters, Shannon (Jade) Robinson of Marshalltown and Tabatha (Zach PiphoWoolley) Anderson of Waterloo, Iowa; grandson, Gavin Robinson; siblings, Kelly (Carol Mayer) Anderson and Shirley (Les) Tempel, all of State Center, Sonya (Jeff Lamb) Nicholson of Altoona, Iowa and Brenda Thompson of Marshalltown, Iowa. In death Kevin rejoins his parents, Eugene and Betty and wife, Davette.
