Kevin Hundley, 52, of State Center and formerly of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away on the evening of July 3, 2024 at his home in State Center.
A visitation for Kevin will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. A family led celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024 beginning at 1:00 P.M. at the Marshalltown U.A.W. Hall located on Iowa Avenue West. To show Kevin’s love of muscle cars, please drive your muscle cars to both the visitation and celebration of life services if able to do so. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Kevins name may be directed to the family to later be donated to local animal shelters. Kevin Anthony Hundley was born August 20, 1971 in Marshalltown, Iowa to Donald and Betty (Durns) Hundley. Kevin grew up in LeGrand, Iowa and attended school at LDF and SEMCO and later graduated in 1989.
Kevin was a hard worker and started out at Lennox Industries in Marshalltown for over 20 years. Additionally, he worked for Elliott Floor Installation and Kiliper in Ames in his last couple of years. He was a proud member of the U.A.W. Local 893 of Marshalltown.
On August 7, 2021, he was united in marriage to his wife Dana (Dunn) in State Center, Iowa at the Rose Gardens. He moved from Marshalltown to State Center once they were married. In his free time, Kevin enjoyed MOPAR, working on his car and attending car shows. He loved anything that would go fast. He liked to have a few cold ones with friends, spend time with his family, and taking his Hellcat out for drives. He was a self-labeled grill master and had a huge heart for animals, especially his dog Jasper.
Kevin is survived by his loving wife, Dana Hundley; his step-daughter, Lexie (Gage Sunkle) Hundley; his step-son, Carsen Dunn; his siblings, Linda McCargar, Dean Hundley, and Gordon (Karen) Hundley. Additionally, he is survived by his four-legged furry companion, Jasper and his four nephews, numerous cousins, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Betty Hundley; his brother, Randy Hundley; and his paternal and maternal grandparents.
