Kevin Plum, 52, of Marshalltown, formerly of Tama, died early July 20th, at the MMSC. A private military burial rite will be conducted by the Veterans Administration and he will be laid to rest at the Iowa State Veterans Cemetery at Van Meter. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be directed to a cause reflecting Kevins life such as Veterans needs. The Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown is caring for Kevin and his family. Ph. 641-844-1234. Born on May 30th, 1959, he was the son of Marion Albert and Maxine LaRue (Spidler) Plum. He graduated from the South Tama High Schools Class of 1976 and soon enlisted in the United States Navy where he served our country honorably for 6 years. Upon his release, he was employed in the operations and management of the Diablo Nuclear Energy Plant for 18 years and returned to Iowa. Kevin was last employed by Poweshiek Rural Water and served as past-commander of the Tama American Legion. Left to cherish his memory is his brother Gary in New Mexico, many cousins and many friends. In death, he rejoined his parents and a brother Richard.
