Kimberly Ann Hammitt

Kim Hammitt, 53, of Marshalltown, died Friday, March 30, at her home. Following cremation, memorial services for Kim will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, April 6, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. The Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Kimberly and her family. Kim was born June 25, 1958, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the daughter of DeeCort and Joanne (Bierwirth) Hammitt. She was raised and educated in Marshalltown and went on to complete Massage Therapy schooling in Gainesville, Florida. Kim worked as a massage therapist for several years in Marshalltown and was also employed by the Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center as Ward Clerk for over fifteen years. Kim is survived by her mother Joanne Hammitt of Marshalltown, her brother DeeCort Randolph Hammitt of San Francisco, California, her aunt Barbara Booth of Tucson, Arizona and her nephew Jagger (Jessica) Copley of Cedar Rapids. Kim was preceded in death by her father DeeCort.
