Larry Ace Abrams, 63, of State Center, died Saturday, October 30, 2010 at his residence in State Center.Larry was born May 9, 1947, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the son of Howard A. Abrams and Elsie I. Lair Abrams. Larry was raised and educated in Marshalltown where he attended the Marshalltown School System. He served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Following his honorable discharge Larry returned home to Iowa. Larry enjoyed golfing, playing cards, fishing and was a very good 3-cushion billiard player. He was a member of the State Center American Legion. Larry is survived by his two sisters Linda (Arnie) Fulton of Springdale, Arkansas and Sandy (Larry) Clapsaddle of Topeka, Kansas and several nieces and nephews. Larry was preceded in death by his parents and his two sisters Donna and Regina. Following cremation, a celebration of Larrys life will takeplace Wednesday, November 3rd at 5:00 PM, at the Marshalltown American Legion Frank Lewis Glick Post #839, located at 1301 South 6th Street.
