Larry Holman

Larry Paul Holman, 77, of Marshalltown, Iowa, died on Tuesday, August 18th, 2020 at the Iowa Veterans Home. A graveside service with military honors will take place on Thursday, August 20th at 1:00 P.M. for Larry at the Iowa Veterans Home Cemetery in Marshalltown. He was born December 5th, 1942 in Independence, Iowa, son of Gerald and Velma Holman. Larry enjoyed officiating basketball games and Iowa Hawkeye football. He served in the United States Navy for 4 years, earning a Good Conduct Medal and Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal for service in Vietnam. He is survived by his daughters Nancy (David) Charitat of Melbourne, Florida and Tracy (Buster) Slicker of Colleyville, Texas; 5 grandchildren Maxwell, Leah, Celine, Olivia and Greyson; 4 sisters, Betty, Maxine, Mary and Susan; 2 brothers Harold and Nick. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Darlene and brother Loyd.
