Larry D. Hopkins, 41, of West Des Moines, formerly of Marshalltown, died Saturday night, November 1, at the Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 5th, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Visitation 5-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening. Burial at a later date in the Mt. Ph 641-844-1234. Larry was born on April 20, 1967, in Iowa City. He worked for Progress Industries on Locust Street in West Des Moines from April of this year until the time of his death. He previously lived at CIRSI on Lincolnway in Marshalltown and was a member of ARC, CIRSI, Easter Seals Life Club and Focus. Larry enjoyed participating in the Special Olympics in bowling and track, Scooby-Doo, watching Footloose and Air Bud, listening to KIX-101, music, doing Karaoke at Billy Joes Pitcher Show in Des Moines and the Iowa Hawkeyes. Left to mourn his loss is his CIRSI family on Lincolnway and the Kirk family he joined in January of 2003- Mike and Karen, Caleb, Kellee, Rafael, Jose, Isaiah, Ragan, Cesar, Lily, Eli, Ella, Kinzee and Matt.
