Larry Paul

Larry Paul, 63, of Marshalltown, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, May 15, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. Cremation will be accorded. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday May 19, 2014, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. For condolences, please visit www.mitchellfh.com or call 641-844-1234. Larry was born on December 31, 1950, in Marshalltown, Iowa, to Donald and Florence (Osborn) Paul. He was educated in the Marshalltown School District and graduated with the MHS class of 1969. After completing high school, Larry honorably served our country with the U.S. Navy. Larry married Caryn Ekvall on March 10, 1984, and they built their lives together in Marshalltown. Larry worked with his hands and made a living as a mason in the Marshalltown area. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 30 years, Caryn; his stepdaughter, Tracy Patro (Kim Lovig) of Marshalltown, Iowa; nephews: Trevor (Cortney) Slack of Tama, Iowa, and Tyler Slack of Marshalltown, Iowa ; niece, Lori Smith of Marshalltown, Iowa; his aunt, Francis Anderson, of Ferguson, Iowa; and his sister, Teresa Paul, of Marshalltown, Iowa. Larry is also survived by his four legged kids as well: B.J., Walker, Bo, Ob, Gus, Shadow, and Balto. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, and his son, Jeremy Paul.
