Larry Dean Williams, 66, of Marshalltown died Sunday, February 1, 2009 at his home.Funeral services will be held 10:30 Thursday, February, 5th at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home with Pastor Bobby Shomo officiating. He will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Funeral Home. Memorial may be directed to the Family. He attended Marshalltown Schools, graduating in 1961. He later went to engineering school, with the Chicago Northwestern Railroad. He married Denise on September 9th 1995 at the Little Brown Church and has lived their married life in Marshalltown. He had worked for Swift, for 31 years in Marshalltown and Chicago Northwestern Railroad and then for Hy-Vee for a couple of years until retiring.Larry was a faithful Hawkeye fan; he also enjoyed golfing, football, WWF wrestling and the outdoors.Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Denise of Marshalltown, Children, Jeff (Tami) Williams of Atlanta, Georgia, Matt(Anna)Williams of Marshalltown , Julie ( Wayne) Judge, Mary(Scott) Mills, Donnie(Valerie) Steggall and Jimmy(Sheena) Bachman, all of Marshalltown, also brothers Mel Williams and Gary ( Irene) Williams .In death he rejoined his parents and a brother Donnie Williams.
