Laverne Glaeser

LaVerne Schroeder Glaeser, most recently of the Villa del Sol in Marshalltown, IA, passed away Monday, February 18th. LaVerne was born in Crete, Illinois on September 23rd, 1927. She was raised in Crete and graduated from Crete-Monee High School and attended Stephens College in Missouri. Later in life, she graduated from Miami-Dade Community College with an Associates of Arts Degree. LaVerne was a champion of all animals making sure the birds and squirrels were always fed. She enjoyed reading, doing jigsaw puzzles, football, basketball and IRL racing. She is survived by her son John (Carol) Ervin of Bolingbrook, IL, her daughter Rose Jenkins of Marshalltown and grandchildren Marissa Ervin, Ashley Ervin, Jonathan Jenkins and Jacob Jenkins.
