Lea Marie Dobranski

Lea Marie Dobranski, 60, of State Center, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Mary Greeley Hospital with her loving family by her side. Funeral services for Lea will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Dagit officiating. Public visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home West Marshall Chapel located in State Center, Iowa. Lea Marie Rops was born on February 22, 1954, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the daughter of Ubbe and Rita (Kielly) Rops. She was raised and educated in the West Marshall school district graduating from West Marshall High School in 1972. Lea was united in marriage to the love of her life Bruce Dobranski, on December 22, 1978, in Nevada, Iowa. From this union two children were born: Karen and Jody. Lea was employed as the transportation director at West Marshall schools. She had a passion for horses, great danes, gardening, drawing, sewing, collecting snowman and her family. Left to cherish her memory is her husband: Bruce Dobranski; two daughters: Karen (Shane) Brix and Jody Dobranski; one granddaughter: Anna Brix; one sister: Lisa (Dave) MacDonald and three nieces: Kristin, Kimberly, and Katelyn. She is preceded in death by her parents.
