Lennard Lenny Richerodt, 56, of LeGrand, died late Friday night, October 28th, at his home while in the loving care of his family.A memorial gathering will be held in his memory from 5-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 2, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home with a 6:00 p.m. memorial service. Born on February 2, 1955, in Belle Plaine, Iowa, he was the son of Marvin and Joyce (Danner) Richerodt. He received his education in the Marshalltown Public Schools. He was employed at Lennox Industries and was previously the owner and operator of Lens Small Engines doing small engine repair. He also treasured his time working with the Danner family servicing fire extinguishers. He will be fondly remembered for his love of the outdoors, gardening, fishing, and his pets Emma (the dog) and Baron (the fish). Left to cherish his memory are Lindsay, his loving wife whom he married on May 20, 2010, daughter Nichole Richerodt of Clive, his brother Ken Richerodt of Marshalltown, best friend Rick Hughes, sister Jan Bachman of Marshalltown, several nieces, nephews and friends. In death, Lennie rejoined his parents and grandparents.
