Leo Reisetter, age 71, or Marshalltown passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at UnityPoint Health Marshalltown. Services for Leo will be Thursday, August 13 at 11:00 A.M. at Mitchell Family Funeral Home, with burial immediately following at Riverside Cemetery. A visitation will take place one hour prior at 10:00 A.M. The family requests that attendees bring their Harleys, classic cars, loud music and casual attire. “RPMs are Welcome!” Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation. Leo W Reisetter was born on December 16, 1948 in Marshalltown to parents Jay T. and Albie (Klement) Reisetter. He graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1967. Leo honorably served in the United States Army. Leo married the love of his life, Sherry Johnston on August 1, 1975 in Memphis, TN. They celebrated 45 years of marriage this month. He owned and operated Midwest Machine and Welding, the business his father had started. Leo was a simple man that liked to go fast. He loved anything with an engine, but especially liked Harleys, classic cars and drag racing. Leo also enjoyed spending time with his family. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Sherry Reisetter; his granddaughters: Kaylinn (Ryan) McRill and Cassie Bachman; grandchildren: Houston, Mariah, Brayden, Kyler and Kameron; nieces and nephews: Dave (Jodi) Reisetter, Mike (Maria) Reisetter, Julie Reisetter, Scott (Debbie) Reisetter, Amy (Kevin) Kuchta, Bart Willim, Eric Willim and Matthew Willim; mother-in-law Ruth Deischer; sister Joyce Reisetter; great-nieces and great-nephews: Jay, Kelsey, Millie, Morgan, Travis, Zach, Zoey, Jessica and Raquelle; sister-in-law Jane Reisetter and brother-in-law Lee Willim. Leo is preceded in death by his son Todd Reisetter, parents Jay and Albie Reisetter, sister Janice Willim, brother Leon Reisetter, nephew Adam Willim, grandma Frances Stone and father-in-law Del Deischer.
