Leona Ennis, 93, of Marshalltown, died Tuesday, May 8, at the Southridge Nursing and Rehab Center.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 12 at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest in the Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be held one-hour prior to the services. Memorial contributions may be directed in her name to Iowa River Hospice. Skinner on July 24, 1918, at Bangor, Iowa, she was the daughter of Rolland and Leota (Schultz) Skinner. She received her education in the Marshalltown Public Schools. On April 24, 1937, she was united in marriage to Freeman Swede Donaldson in Bethany, Missouri. They made their home in Marshalltown. Mr. Donaldson preceded her in death in 1980. On October 5, 1983, she married Clifford Ennis in Moore, Oklahoma. Leona loved visiting and spending time with her family. When she had free time, she enjoyed camping and shopping. She will be remembered as a person who always put others before herself and will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.Left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Pat (Ken) Sorenson of Mesa, AZ; Barbara (the late Bart) Liston of Albion; Joan (Jim) Tough of rural Marshalltown and Judy Vokoun of St. Anthony, her nine grandchildren: Lynn Sagar, Greg Tschudy, Brian Tschudy, Chris Griffin, Deanna Seiler, Shawn Yuen, Don Vokoun, Brent Liston and Chip Liston, sixteen great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and nephew.In death, Leona rejoined her husbands Swede and Cliff, her son-in-law Bart, her stepdaughters Jacqueline Schooley and Joan Wilson, her parents, grandson Todd Patrick Liston and sisters Lilly Burke and Florence Berrier.
