Leora May Lynk

Leora May Lynk passed away peacefully the morning of October 8th, 2026, at Iowa River Hospice House.

Leora was born to Glen and Gladys Diestler on May 11th, 1943. She was married to Charles (Chuck) Lynk until his death in 2010. She was a cosmetologist her whole life and was concerned with making folks beautiful both inside and out. She was a devout member of New Hope Christian Church and was known for making friends that turned out to need a church home. She, in recent years, was a huge supporter of the MCC Boys Soccer team; Pedro, Augustus, Dominic, Enoch, and the rest of the boys will miss her greatly. Leora was a prayer warrior and that connection to her Lord allowed her to see those places in life where Jesus would have an impact. New Hope Christian Church, along with many close friends around Marshalltown, will miss her in numerous ways, specifically her ability to bring those to church who needed to be there.

There will be a memorial service for Leora at New Hope Christian Church on Wednesday, October 14th , 2026, at 10:00am with a luncheon to follow. Leora will be laid to rest in Highland Memory Gardens with her husband Chuck at a later time.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to either New Hope Christian Church or Iowa River Hospice House.
