Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Les and his family Leslie Wayne Snider was born in Marshalltown, Iowa; he was the son of Donald and Carolyn Ewalt Snider. Les attended school in the Marshalltown Community Schools. Les was united in marriage to Peggy Norton and they were blessed with a daughter, Lea. They later divorced. He had lived in California and moved back to Marshalltown to be closer to his family. He had worked for a lawn service in Marshalltown for many years. Les enjoyed fishing, enjoyed woodworking, cooking and baking and sharing, and always up for a trip to the casino. He loved and enjoyed his grandchildren. Left to cherish Les’s memory are his daughter, Lea (Mike) Bishop of Marshalltown; his pride and joy, the grandchildren: Yanna, Ivy, Samantha, Bailey, Lilea, Daisy, Madeline and Mikey; and great-granddaughter, Raidly. He is also survived by his mother, Carolyn; siblings, Mark (Julie) Stone, Kathi (Ralph) Tree, Donna (Chuck) Barker, Ronald Stevenson, Amy Epley, Steven (Jaye) Stevenson, Susan Stevenson, Allen (Deb) Stevenson and Don Snider, Jr. In death Les rejoins his dad, Donald, maternal and paternal grandparents and stepfather Richard Stevenson.
