Lester R. Bruce

Lester Bruce, 84, of the Iowa Veterans Home, formerly of Mason City, died Sunday, March 9th, at the Iowa Veterans Home where he has resided since November of 2005. Funeral services are pending at the Major-Erickson Funeral Home in Mason City. Burial will be in the Clear Lake Cemetery at Clear Lake, Iowa. The Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for local arrangements. He was born on May 22nd, 1923, in Enid, Oklahoma, and served our country honorably in the United States Army during WWII. He is survived by his brother, Chester of Mason City and was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
