Leticia Verdinez, 60, of Marshalltown, passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

Funeral services for Leticia will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at St. Francis of Assisi- St. Mary Catholic Church in Marshalltown, at 5:00 p.m. Visitation will be one hour before the services, and beginning at 4:00 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the family. Leticia Villarreal was born on March 12, 1963 in El Paso, Texas. She was the daughter of Carlos Villarreal and Esperanza Gallegos. She was united in marriage to Fernando Verdinez on July 28, 1991. Leticia had previously worked as a CNA in El Paso and worked at a consignment store when she moved to Iowa. She also was a stay at home mother. Leticia enjoyed watching soap operas, attending garage sales, shopping, cooking and cleaning. Above all else, she enjoyed the time she spent with her loving family.

Leticia is survived by her husband of 32 years of marriage, Fernando. Children: Ashley Esperanza (Rogelio) Verdinez-Ramirez of Marshalltown and Fernando Mario Verdinez of Marshalltown. Grandson: Julian Emmanuel Ramirez and step-siblings: Grace Allen and Ray Urbina.

Leticia is preceded in death by her parents: Carlos and Esperanza; brother: Mario Villarreal and the extended Gallegos family.
