Lillian Buffett, 93, passed away on July 3, 2011 at Grandview Nursing and Rehab Center in Marshalltown while under the care of Iowa River Hospice.Per her request cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no service at this time. Phone 641-844-1234Lillian Louise Varrell was born in Portsmouth, New Hampshire on April 17, 1918; she was the daughter of Foster E. and Lucy Alberta (Cole) Varrell. Lillian was married to Francis Emmett Buffett in 1936; they had resided in Florida, Minnesota and Marshalltown. Lillian enjoyed her family, loved snowmobiling enjoyed horses, and she also enjoyed crocheting, knitting and quilting.Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Winnie Huston of Casa Grande Arizona, her grandchildren; Wendy(Mike) Fields of Marshalltown, Iowa, Tom(Carol) Huston of Chico, California and Emmett(Terry) Huston of Ankeny, Iowa, 6 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. 2 nieces: Gail Hildebrandt and Jane Henshaw.Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and a sister, her husband Emmett, son-in-law LaVerne Huston and grandson Jim Huston.
