Lillie Goode

Lillie Goode, age 76, of Collins, Iowa, passed away on the evening of December 29, 2024 surrounded by family at Rolling Green Village in Nevada, IA.

A family led graveside service will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025, at 9:30 A.M. at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Adel, Iowa. Memorials in Lillie’s name may be directed to either a Leukemia or Veteran’s based organization of the donor’s choosing. Lillie Mae Rose was born September 27, 1948 to Arthur and Lucy (Robertson) Rose in Missouri. She was one of 14 children born to the pair. She attended school in Missouri.

Lillie raised three children, Michael, Kenneth and Tonia. She worked to provide for her family working primarily on the homestead. Her family was her main priority. Lillie spent many happy years living in Crestview, Florida. On May 3, 2015, she was united in marriage to Ronnie J. Goode. She resided in Florida until 2018 when she moved to Collins, Iowa after the passing of Ronnie and was closer to her family as her own health had began declining. In her free time, Lillie was busy using her green thumb to make beautiful flower and vegetable gardens. She enjoyed going fishing and hunting with her husband, Ronnie. She had many memories of going on boat rides with family and friends and if there was a meal involved, she was sure to either cook or bake something to the point of not being able to leave a gathering without a full stomach. In recent years, she enjoyed doing puzzles of any sort as well as playing Bingo and other board games. Over everything she cherished her family most of all.

Lillie is survived by her children, Michael (Suzin) Weaver, Kenneth (Dawn) Weaver II and Tonia (Steve) Hopkin; grandchildren, Brittney, Ciarra (Joni), Michael (Erica), Brigit (Jason), Jonathan (Kaylee), Jenny (Jake), Joey and James; her great-grandchildren, Bryson, Gracelynn, Arabella, Clayton, Wrenley, Owen, Allie, Lillie, Karsen and Alyvia; her siblings, Jon (Tammy)

Rose, Mary Rose, Clara Stansberry, Brenda Shaw and Bonita Hernandez; alongside numerous amounts of extended family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie; her parents, Arthur and Lucy Rose; and numerous siblings
