Linda Ebeling

Linda (Mrs. Abe) Ebeling, 72, of Montour, died late Tuesday night, November 16th, at the Oakview Nursing Home in Conrad with her loving family at her side. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 19th, at the Living Faith United Methodist Church in Montour with Rev. Brian Oliver officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Maple Hill Cemetery at Montour. Visitation will be held at Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa from 5-7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Born Linda Kay Kutter on December 26th, 1937, she was the daughter of Adam and Madoline (Hanson) Kutter. Linda received her CNA designation and was employed at the Grinnell Regional Hospital in the OB department and most recently at Tama County Public Health. Linda loved her work and enjoyed gardening, flowers, pets, refinishing furniture, working with her hands and treasured her family. She always had a cup of coffee on for the neighbors and was a strong-willed person that will be greatly missed by many. Linda was married to Jim Young they had five sons together and later divorced.On December 19th, 1971, she was united in marriage to Loren Abe Ebeling and they had one daughter. They made Montour their home. Left to celebrate her life are Abe, her loving husband of 38 years, children- Becky (Mike) Buchanan of Montour, Mike (Dana) Young of Moulton, Deb (Rod) Tysdale of Haverhill, Alan Young of Grinnell, Scott (Joyce) Young of Donnellson, Randy (Brenda) Young of Toledo, Brian Young of Boone and Tracy (Walter) Bell of Marshalltown, 14 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, her sister Dotta Robertson of Marshalltown and brother Addison (Jean) Snyder of Marshalltown, as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. In death, Linda rejoined her parents and half-brother Morris Kutter and beloved brother-in-law Larry Robertson.
