Linda (Andrews) Fann, 61, of 1602 Elder Drive, Marshalltown, died Sunday, March 25th, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines from complications of Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency, a lung-liver condition in the blood. Funeral services and a celebration of her life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 31st, at the New Hope Christian Church with Pastor Kerry Jech officiating. Cremation rites will follow. Ph 641-844-1234. Born Linda Andrews in Eldora, Iowa, she was the daughter of Duane and Ruth (Rash) Andrews. She graduated from the Hubbard High Schools Class of 1963. She then moved to Missouri and attended Southwest Missouri State in Springfield. On January 22nd, 1972, she was united in marriage to Richard Fann at the Quaker Church in New Providence. They made Marshalltown their home where she was employed at KIOWA from 1967 until layoff in 1983. In 1985, she began working for the City of Marshalltown in the finance department and was employed there at the time of her passing. Mrs. Fann attended the New Hope Christian Church and had previously been a member of the Sunrise Wesleyan Chapel, she enjoyed bowling, playing cards, reading, doing crosswords, watching the Iowa Hawkeyes, Chicago Cubs, KC Chiefs, decorating for the holidays and cooking. Linda had won a ribbon at the Iowa State Fair for her potato salad. Left to mourn her loss are her loving husband of 35 years, Richard, her children: Anthony Tony Fann of Marshalltown and Alicia (Andrew) Williams of Marshalltown, Shelley (Fann) Brantly of Niles, Michigan, grandchildren: Ayden and Alivia, Erika, Brenna and Dakota and great-grandchildren, Brayden and Maddison. Also surviving are her brother, Curt (Joy) Andrews of Union, as well as other family members and a host of friends. In death she has rejoined her sister Judy in infancy, brother Shane and her parents.
