Linda Louise (Meeks) Frahm, 77, of Marshalltown and longtime resident of Garwin, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines surrounded by her husband, Leland, three grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
Funeral services for Linda will be held on Monday, June 10, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at the Garwin Valley Community Church in Garwin (former Garwin United Methodist Church). Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 9, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Linda Meeks was born on May 14, 1947 in Marshalltown. She was the daughter of Donald W. and Myrta (Niedermann) Meeks. Linda graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1965. Linda was united in marriage to Leland Gene Frahm on July 2, 1965 in Marshalltown. They made their home in Garwin. Linda was an in-home child care provider. She was a member of the GNO group, member of the Garwin United Methodist Church and the choir and was the UMW President for twelve years. Linda enjoyed playing cards, bingo and watching game shows and softball. She was also a Cub Scout Den leader, liked to attend the Tama County 4-H fair, shopping and visiting with friends. Linda will also be known for putting on a smorgasbord every holiday.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of almost fifty-nine years: Leland; children: Lynnette (Eric) Dippon, Sheri (Patrick) Ergle and Darci Kimball; grandchildren: Allison Wogan, Aaron (Elisabeth) Wogan, Jason Dippon and Jeremy Dippon; step-grandchildren: Tyler Ergle and Karlie Ergle. She is also survived by her great-granddaughter: Abigail Wogan; siblings: Joyce (Ted) Kallestad, Beverly (Scott Wilson) Snyder, Donita Cronce, Mike Meeks and Jennifer (Ray) McKinsey.
Linda is preceded in death by her son: Bryan Lee Frahm; parents: Don and Myrta and sister and brother-in-law: Marilyn and Ralph Greif.
