Lynch was born April 30, 1948 to Richard and Betty (Hughes) Lynch. She attended the BC High School in Conrad and graduated with the class 1966. She then later attended Iowa State University. On November 4, 1967, in Beaman, she was united into marriage to Gary Mugge. Two daughters were born, Stacey and Shelly. Linda was employed at Fisher Control until 1970. Linda then became a full-time farm wife working everyday alongside her husband planting, harvesting, and attending to her cattle. During that time of being a farm wife, she also worked part-time at the post office. She was a member of the Minerva Wesley Chapel. Linda treasured her yard, flower beds, garden, and her animals. She enjoyed cooking and was well-known for her orange slice cookies. She loved spending time with her family, especially at the Iowa State Fair and Okoboji. Her greatest joy was her Angus cattle. She named all the cattle as her pets and picked the ones to show and get ready for sales. She always ran the catch chute and she always told the cattle to be calm and gentle at the risk of losing body parts and becoming T-bone steak. She had a way to make them trust and respect her as she made pets of them all. As her cancer progressed, she missed being with her cattle and pets. She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Gary Mugge of Beaman, IA; her two daughters: Stacy (Brad) Mugge of Colorado and Shelley (Randy) Schafer of Independence, IA; her parents, Richard and Betty Lynch of Conrad, IA; her two sisters: Kathy Elliott of Branson, MO and Connie (Keith) Schleisman of Cuba City, WI; her Mother-in-law, Marjorie Mugge of Beaman, IA; her brother-in-law, Steve Mugge of Conrad, IA; her many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father in law Delbert Mugge and her sister in law, Bonnie (Pence) Mugge.
