Lino was born on June 27, 1997 in Iowa City to parents Modesto Rivera-Merodio and Galinda Reyes-Carrillo. Growing up in Marshalltown alongside his three sisters, he graduated from Marshalltown High School. Dedicated and hard-working, Lino worked in tree trimming and removal for Asplunhd Tree Expert. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and going to the casino, but most of all he loved spending time with his daughters. Lino was an excellent cook and master of the grill. He had many friends as a result of his “go with the flow” personality and goofy sense of humor. Lino would also help anyone who needed anything. Though they find comfort in knowing he died in a place he loved, he will be deeply missed by all those who knew him. Those left to cherish his memory are his two daughters: Nevaeh Rivera and Milani Rivera-Moore; his parents: Modesto Rivera-Merodio and Galinda Reyes-Carrillo; his sisters: Lorena, Alma and Gisselle Rivera-Reyes; his girlfriend, Jordyn Moore; Nevaeh’s mother, Shianna Martin; his grandparents; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and many friends. Lino is preceded in death by his close cousin, Francisco Rodriguez-Reyes and his grandfather.
