Lisa Stabenow

Lisa Leann Stabenow, at the age of 50, from Charles City, Iowa, departed this life on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at UnityPoint Health-Trinity Muscatine Hospital.

Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Sunday, February 4th at 1:00 P.M, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 P.M. both to be held at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Born on September 6, 1973, in Marshalltown, Iowa, Lisa was the cherished daughter of Roger and Valerie (Hartwell) Stabenow. She attended Marshalltown High School and for 18 years, she built a life in Marshalltown with Saul Vasquez. A dedicated CNA, Lisa served at the Iowa Veterans Home and Villa Del Sol, caring for others within the medical field.

In later years, Lisa relocated to Charles City, Iowa, where she skillfully worked as an assembler at Winnebago. She found joy and companionship with John Meek, with whom she shared a decade of her life. Lisa had a zest for life, she was fond of motorcycle rides, bargain hunting, and exploring new experiences. As a passionate Iowa Hawkeye fan, she almost never missed a game. Above all, Lisa cherished spending time with her loved ones, especially her seven delightful grandchildren.

Lisa leaves behind a loving family that includes her three children and a stepchild: Adriana Andrade (Joel Villalpando) of Muscatine, IA, Kruz Vasquez (Destiney Bishop) of Dunbar, IA, Keyana Vasquez of Marshalltown, IA, and Kamden Meek of Charles City, IA. Her legacy also lives on through her grandchildren: Savannah, Riley, Sienna, Bryson, Leonel, Ruby, and Sawyer. She is survived by two brothers, Tony and Todd Stabenow of Miami, FL, and her beloved trio of dogs: Coco, Scooter, and Hopper.

Lisa is now reunited in the afterlife with her parents, Roger and Valerie, stepfather Preston Enlow, granddaughter Ellyse Vasquez, and her grandparents.
