Lisa Young, 45, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away suddenly on December 16, 2020 at Unity Point Health Marshalltown. Services for Lisa will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at the Bangor Friends Church at 11:00 A.M. Visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the services, beginning at 10:00 A.M. Memorials may be directed to the family at this time. Lisa Anne Young was born April 22, 1975 to parents Royal and Paula (Fisher) Young in Marshalltown, Iowa. She was one of two children born. Lisa received most of her early education from West Marshall School. She spent senior year at Marshalltown High School, graduating with the class of 1993. Lisa then graduated from Denison Job Corps Center, followed by receiving her degree at Marshalltown Community College. Lisa was a member of the Bangor Liberty Friends Church, where she attended alongside her father and stepmother Jan. She always had a friendly smile when you ran into her either out and about or while taking trips to the Marshalltown Wal-Mart. She loved her mountain dew, eating the maid-rites from Taylor’s, watching Grey’s Anatomy, enjoying extra mushrooms on her pizza from Zeno’s and scrolling through Facebook while talking to her friends. She will be missed by so many friends as well as her family. Left to remember and cherish her memory are her father, Royal (Jan) Young; her brother, Greg (Kris) Young; her aunt Louisa Young; her nieces: Ashlen Young, Adisyn Young and Ava Young and her cousins: Eric Holmberg and Mark Holmberg. She was preceded in death by her mother, Paula Young.
