Lois M. Groth

Lois Groth, 82, went to be with Jesus on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Iowa River Hospice Marshalltown Iowa.

Family and friends will be celebrating her life with visitation at Journey Church in Marshalltown, Iowa on Friday, February 21 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. On Saturday, February 22 funeral services will be at Journey Church at 10:00 A.M. with interment following the service at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Gladbrook, IA.

Lois is survived by her husband, Ron, children: Ronda Johnson (Lowell), David (Lee), Mark (Shawnda), Kevin (Carrie); nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Lois was born to Alva and Murna Zink on July 30, 1942. She graduated from Garwin High School in 1960, where she met her lifelong-partner, Ron. They were married at Chapel Church on January 13, 1961.

Lois and Ron farmed their entire lives and raised their four children on the farm. She was an active partner on the farm, running the tractor and combine spring and fall. Lois was a member of Chapel Church her entire life and was involved in many Bible studies throughout the years. Lois loved decorating for the many events at Church and especially working with flowers. She had her flower gardens around her beloved cabin on the Hill Farm. She had many fun times playing games with her grandchildren and loved hosting parties. Playing cards with friends was one of her favorite things.

She will be joining her sister Jenny, her parents, Alva and Murna, and stepmother Rachel at her heavenly home.
