Mr. Loless Walt Walters, 80, of Madison, Indiana, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday morning, July 20, in Madison, Indiana at the Kings Daughters Hospital.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 25, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home, 1209 Iowa Avenue West, Marshalltown, Iowa. He will be laid to rest in the Clemons Cemetery at Clemons, Iowa. Visitation will be held from noon until the service time at the funeral home.Loless entered this life on September 17, 1930 in Richmond, Kentucky. He was the son of the late, Harry & Mary Emmaline Davis Walters. He was raised in Trimble County, Kentucky and attended school there. He was inducted into the United States Marine Corps on August 6, 1951 during the Korean War and rose to the rank of Corporal. He was honorably discharged on August 6, 1953. He moved to Cedar Rapids, Iowa and began a career with the Quaker Oat Company retiring in 1985 as a packaging supervisor after 35 years of service. He was united in marriage on January 1, 1950 to LaVone Cooling and they shared fifty years of marriage together until her death on July 6, 2000. He moved to Madison in 2001 and was united in marriage to Helen Jean Craig Facemire on September 6, 2003 at the Hebron Baptist Church near Madison, Indiana. He was a member of the Hebron Baptist Church and Jefferson Post 9, of the American Legion. He enjoyed running the camp grounds for the Regatta, mowing, working on the lawn, tinkering with cars.Left to cherish his memory are his wife: Helen Jean Craig Facemire Walters of Madison, Indiana; 2 step daughters: Karen Pyles & her husband, Terry of Madison, Indiana, Donna Stemler & her husband, Chris of Bedford, Indiana; 1-step son: Steve Facemire & his wife, Christy of Madison, Indiana; his step grandchildren: Stephanie Wegener, Amanda Wease, Amelia Facemire, & Branson Facemire; his sisters, Delora McCoy of Milton, Kentucky; Minnie Burton and Betty Craig & her husband, Claude all of Bedford, Kentucky; Edith Rae Dixon & her husband, Harold of Madison, Indiana; his special nephew whom he helped to raise, Ryan Hajek & his wife, Amy of Solon, Iowa; his one great niece, Josie Hajek of Solon, Iowa; his brothers in law & sisters in law, Bonnie & Frank Heverline of Milton, Kentucky; William Allen & Linda Craig of Bedford, Kentucky; Richard Wayne Craig of Milton, Kentucky; Betty Craig & her late husband, Elmer Eugene of Bedford, Kentucky, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews & other relatives.In death, he rejoined his parents, Henry & Mary Emmaline Davis Walters; his first wife, LaVone Cooling Walters died, July 6, 2000; his sisters, Alice Helton, Bertha Masters, & Nancy McCoy; his brothers, Dan, Floyd, Bill & John Henry Walters.
