Lonny E. Poland, 70, of Marshalltown, died Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at the Iowa River Hospice House surrounded by his loving wife Susan, his loving sister-in-law Carolyn Gibson, and his loving family and friends. Following cremation, a private family burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Marshalltown. There will not be a visitation. He was raised and educated in Marshalltown where he graduated from the Marshalltown High School. Lonny was married to Susan Mullane on September 4, 1971, in Marshalltown, Iowa. During his lifetime, Lonny first worked at Fisher Controls in Marshalltown and John Deere in Ankeny until the time of his retirement five years ago. Lonnys love of collecting limited edition prints and coins led him and Susan to open, own and operate Teton Arts on Main Street in Marshalltown for over twenty years. Lonny is survived by his wife Susan of Marshalltown, one daughter, three grandchildren, his brother Michael (Cindy) Poland of Perris, California, his step-brothers: Stan Wooster of Apache Junction, Arizona, Ron Wooster of Phoenix, Arizona and William Wooster of Apache Junction, Arizona, his half-brothers: Shawn Wooster of LeGrand, Iowa, Steve (Carol) Wooster of LeGrand, Iowa, Ralph Wooster of San Antonio, Texas, his loving sister-in-law Carolyn Gibson as well as several nieces and nephews. Lonny was preceded in death by an infant son, his parents and his brother Kim Wooster in 1974.
