Lori Hout

Lori L Rittgers Hout, 61, passed away on November 19, 2017 at the Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown. Memorial services for Lori will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Lori and her family. Lori Rittgers was born on April 23, 1956 in Marshalltown to Merle and Rose Ella Rittgers. She attended school in Gladbrook and graduated with the class of 1974. Lori married Bill Hout and to that union a daughter, Angela Michelle Hout was born. Lori and Bill later divorced. Lori worked in Des Moines at Printer Inc., retiring due to health. She then moved back home and eventually to Oakview Nursing Home in Conrad. Lori battle Multiple Sclerosis for 30 years. Lori enjoyed playing pool in her younger years and spending time with her two very special friends, Jane and Julia. Lori is survived by her daughter, Angela (Kenny) Morgan of Indianola, Iowa; her father Merle Rittgers of Lincoln, Iowa; sisters, Carla (Ken) Smith of Gladbrook, Iowa, Caryn (Paul) Strohbehn of Reinbeck, Iowa, Marla (Bill Smock) Hout of Indianola, Iowa and Judy (Bryan) Brown of Marshalltown, Iowa. She is also survived by her brother Laine (Kristy) Rittgers of Liscomb, Iowa as well as grandchildren; Michael, Brooklynn, Hunter and great grandson, Braxton.
