Ph. 641-844-1234. Born Lorraine Wilkening on August 27, 1924, at State Center, she was the only child born to Lawrence and Flora (Hulsizer) Wilkening. She graduated from the State Center High Schools Class of 1942 and later worked at the telephone office. On September 28, 1946, she was united in marriage to Lester Luck Campbell. They shared 25 years of marriage before his death on January 10, 1972. After his death, she moved from the farm to State Center. Lorraine was employed for many years at the Marshall County Care Facility and was a life member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church, the ladies aid and a life member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Lorraine will be fondly remembered for her love of family, writing letters and cards (annually she received over 100 birthday cards), her strength in her faith, cats (Stinker and Princess), going to dances and movies, and music. She was especially close to her granddaughter - Sue, taking her to carnivals, weekends together and teaching her to drive. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Linda (Jack) Mackin of Clemons, granddaughter Sue Mackin (Rich Reinsberg) of suburban St. Paul, MN, nieces and nephews: Cheryl Sharp (Ray Biondi), Pam (Randy) Redman and Larry Campbell, as well as her church family, Zearing Health Center family and friends. In death, Lorraine rejoined her parents, husband Luck, nephew Gary Campbell and aunt Leona Reynolds.
