Lorraine M. (Boldt) Greenhow, 83, of Marshalltown, died Saturday, March 21, 2009, at Grandview Heights while in the care of her family and Iowa River Hospice. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 26, 2009, at Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. There will be no visitation. Lorraine Marie Boldt was born on March 20, 1926, in Reinbeck, Iowa. She was the daughter of Fritz and Catherine Sofa Marie (Pieper) Boldt. She attended country school in Garwin. Lorraine lived in the Garwin area until she moved to Grandview Heights in 1995. On December 7, 1984, Lorraine married Robert Greenhow at the Fairview Church in rural Toledo. Lorraine worked at the restaurant in Gladbrook, the Tall Corn restaurant, and she was a grill cook at MMSC from 1976-1991. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, artwork, drawing and coloring, and going fishing with her brothers and their families. She also enjoyed putting puzzles together and spending holidays with her family. She is survived by her brothers, Gary (Suzanne) Boldt of Gladbrook, and Fred (Clara) Boldt of Toledo; her sister, Linda (Ron) Beenken of Ames; her sister-in-law, Lois Boldt Furrow of Newton; several nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Mamie Barker of Marshalltown. In death, she has rejoined her parents; her husband, Bob, who died in December, 1988; her brothers, Glen Boldt, Lester Boldt, Delmar Boldt, and Bill Boldt; and her sister, Bernice Deidrichsen.
