Louise K Bennett

Louise K. Bennett, 73, passed away at her home on March 22, 2018. She was born on February 21, 1945 to Paul and Elsie (Lorenzen) Boldra and grew up in Ferguson, Iowa. Louise graduated from LDF High School.  On January 8, 1966, Louise married Leslie W. Bennett. They settled in Marshalltown, Iowa and raised three children; William, Melaina and Charmaine. Louise was a housewife for most of the marriage and enjoyed taking the children to Riverside Cemetery to feed the ducks and to Riverview Park to swing and play along the Iowa River. Later on, she liked to fish and read mystery novels.  Louise is survived by her children: William Bennett, Melaina Boyd and Charmaine (Jim) Van Acker, a granddaughter, Lexi Van Acker, a brother, Don (Kay) Boldra and other family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother Leroy and her sister, Doris (Paul) Flanagan.  A casual graveside service for Leslie and Louise Bennett will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 18th, 2018 at Riverside Cemetery near the WWII memorial.
