Lowell F. Red Clough, 1007 S. 10th Avenue, Marshalltown, died Thursday, January 04, 2007. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 6th at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home with Pastor Dale Batchler ofthe FirstUnited Methodist Church in Marshalltown officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens with a time of fellowship and refreshments to follow at the hospitality room of the funeral home. Military honors will be provided by the Frank Lewis Glick Post #46. Friends may call at the funeral home in Marshalltown from 1:00 p.m. to the service time on Saturday. Born on April 17, 1927 in Whitten, Iowa, he was the son of Charles and El Dona (Wilcox) Clough. He received his education in Whitten, and proudly served in the United States Army. On November 11, 1948, in Linz, Austria he was united in marriage to Fredericka Kurzbock. The resided in Arkansas, Whitten and have lived in Marshalltown for about 50 years. He worked for Lennox and retired after 37 years of employment. He enjoyed wood working, game shows, jigsaw puzzles, gardening, playing cards, and spending time with his family and granddaughters. He was a bowler for many years and coached Little League as well. He was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church, UAW, and the local Legion. Left to celebrate his life are his loving wife, Fredericka, son Randy (Judy) Clough, granddaughters, Tracey and Stacey Clough, siblings, Mary Lou Voigt of Oceanside, CA, and William (Carole) Clough, brother-in-law, Hans Harfman, and numerous nieces and nephews. In death he has rejoined his parents, in-laws: Hans and Maria Kurzbock, son, Richard, brothers: Jim and Charles, sister, Clarice Schoberg, and sister-in-law, Marianne Harfman.
