Lucille Morgan

Lucille Morgan, 74, of Marshalltown, died Wednesday, February 28th, at the Grandview Heights Care Center while in their care and of the Iowa River Hospice. Memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, March 5th, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be one-hour prior. For condolences, please visit www.mitchellfh.com. The Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Lucille and her family. Born Lucille Arlene Schaper on September 1st, 1932, in Iowa, she was the daughter of William and Jessica Schaper. She received her education in the area of her birth. Lucille was united in marriage to Don Harms and Donald Wright before her marriage to Mr. Morgan. She resided in Marshalltown on Church Street and 10th Street for many years and was employed at Stones Restaurant and as an aid in nursing homes. Mrs. Morgan enjoyed sewing, cooking, movies, eating fried chicken, crafts, upholstering and was very resourceful- making something out of nothing. Left to mourn her loss are her children: Raynette Wright in Texas, David (Genice) Wright of Des Moines and Sharon Wright of Des Moines, 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, sisters Clare Schautzman and Wilma Vry of Marshalltown. In death she has rejoined her parents, her first and second husbands, daughters Donna and Joyce and siblings: Katherine, Kenneth, Paul and William Schaper, Jr.
