Lucille Angeline (Frost) Schultz went to be with her Lord, July 9, 2007, in the presence of family members while a resident at Grandview Heights, Marshalltown, IA.Lucille was born January 12, 1922, in Marshalltown, Iowa, to Myrtle May (McGregor) and Edward Raymon Frost. Lucille graduated from Marshalltown High School and briefly attended AIB in Des Moines before returning to Marshalltown to help care for her ill mother. One of the most important women in her life was her maternal grandmother, Emmaline Swaim.Introduced by her first cousin, Dorothy McCarthy to her husband Richards first cousin, Edwin Schultz, Lucille and Edwin began to write each other as Edwin was working in California. Lucille eventually moved to California and the relationship bloomed into a marriage on October 18, 1942 in Santa Monica, California. To this marriage were born 5 children: Paul Edwin (Ruth Ann) Schultz of Marietta, GA, Betty Jeanne (Felix) Quinn of W. Richland, WA, Dale Edward (Jini) Schultz of Hampton, VA, Alan Richard (Kathy, deceased) Schultz of Maryland Heights, MO, and Thomas Dean (Kathy) Schultz of Beaman, IA. She was greatly loved by her grandchildren: David (Erin), Matthew, Jonathan, Keri, AK (Emily), Paul, Elizabeth (Keith Hurley), Rebecca, Lydia (Chad Skinner), Staci (Steven Klaas), and step grandchildren, Brian (Roberta) Quinn, Sheryle Quinn, and Vikki (Scott) Johnson. The next generation sharing her love is great-grandchildren: Claire Schultz, Grace Schultz, Ryleigh Schultz, Samantha Skinner, Colby Skinner, and Britlynn Klass, and step great-grandchildren: Mara and Guilia Quinn and Roslyn and Josephine Johnson.Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Albert, 9/7/1985, her parents: Edward Frost and Myrtle Herme, her sisters: Inez Edwards and Lois Mains, and her brothers: Virgil and Victor Frost. She is survived by her sister, Virginia (Orie) Haskell and her sister and brother (cousins) Dorothy and Richard McCarthy.Lucilles church family at the Liscomb Church of Christ was very important to her. Many thanks are given to her long time minister, Helmer Peterson, and current minister, Paul McDermott. Both men visited her and prayed with her on her last day on this earth, and she received communion lovingly brought by Elder Ron Galloway.Her family wants to thank the staff at Grandview Heights who provided a very supporting environment, both during Lucilles active days and her recent rapid decline. They want to thank the Hospice Staff for helping to make Lucille as comfortable as possible.Visitation will be Tuesday, July 10, from 6-8:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Services will be Wednesday, July 11, at 10:30 a.m. at the Liscomb Church of Christ with interment at Rose Hill, next to her husband.
