Lucy Scott, 87, of State Center, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at State Center Nursing and Rehab Center. Visitation will be on Sunday, December 1, 2013, in State Center at the West Marshall Chapel from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. There will be no other formal service. Memorials may be directed to the family. Lucille Dorlis Mein was born on August 29, 1926, in Robertson, Iowa. She was the daughter of Jacob and Wilhemenia (Voy) Mein. Lucy attended school in the Roland School District where she graduated. She resided in State Center, Iowa. Lucy worked and retired from Bourns Incorporated in Ames Iowa after 28 years of service. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She enjoyed crocheting, the outdoors, and she loved to visit. Lucy is survived by her children: Pamela (Howard) Eldridge of State Center, Iowa, Jeff Scott of Independence, Missouri, and Gregory (Nikki) Scott of Norborne, Missouri; 16 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren. In death, Lucy rejoins her parents; son, Dennis Scott; two daughters: Paula Nelson, and LuAnn Fincher; two sisters; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.
