Luis M. Carranza-Salinas, 17, of Marshalltown, Iowa passed away on Friday, March 9, 2017, at home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 17, 2018, at St Mary Catholic Church in Marshalltown, Iowa. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 16, 2018, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Memorials may be directed to the family. Luis Carranza-Salinas was born on May 26, 2000, in Marshalltown, Iowa he was the son of Jose Baldemar Carranza-Ambriz and Martha Salinas-Castro. Luis attended Marshalltown Community High School and was a senior. He was a loved and respected young man whom everyone knew. He was on the Marshalltown High School Soccer Team and worked at Dunkin Donuts. He enjoyed dancing, loved music and but his favorite time was when he could be with his friends and family. Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Jose and Martha, siblings Jose and Jesse, grandparents, Carmen Castro, Felipe Salinas, Isidro Carranza and his dog Chico. In death Luis rejoins his paternal grandma, Virginia. Luis M.
