Luke entered the world on August 1, 2004 in Marshalltown, Iowa, and is the second of four children of parents Jon and Jenny (Gauthier) Fisher. Luke graduated from Marshalltown High School in 2023 and chose to serve our country by joining the United States Army National Guard. Luke loved being the “Big Brother” first, enjoying the outdoors, going fishing, and hunting with family and friends. His favorite place in the world was home, and he cherished memories made there with his family. Luke was an awesome brother to his three siblings, and he loved this role more than anything. Being able to fulfill any of his family’s needs at any time, gaming with his little brother, Nolan and soon to be brother-in-law, Austin, and playing cards at “Nana and Papa’s” house right next door were just a few of his favorite things to do. He was also learning how to weld from his papa. Luke was known for enjoying his “barbarian feasts”, Ally’s homemade baked goods and anyone’s leftovers that weren’t hidden well enough, especially Grace’s. He was naturally funny and always made people laugh, whether he meant to or not. A huge milestone for Luke was passing his “ma” in height, and being able to eventually rest his chin on Jenny’s head. Luke was kind, gentle, giving, and, most of all, a loyal and trusted friend. His smile would light up a room and his hugs and handshakes were warm. People would often do a double take, because he looked and sounded just like his father, Jon. Luke made life better for anyone who had the pleasure of encountering him, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving parents, Jon and Jenny; his siblings: Grace (Austin Shomo), Ally and Nolan Fisher; grandparents Jim and Deanna Gauthier, David Fisher; extended family members and many friends who are considered family. In eternal life, Luke is reunited with his uncle and namesake Mathew Gauthier, his best friend, Corey Michael Brown, and his grandparents, Rollie and Peggy Grady.
