Lyletta Jo Linder

Lyletta Jo Linder, 70, of Tama, passed away on April 1st, 2019 at Mercy West Lakes in West Des Moines.   A Celebration of life by the family will be held on Saturday, May 11th, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Outback Campground, 3220 H Avenue, Tama, Iowa 52339. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Jo and her family.   Lyletta Jo McMullen was born on August 3, 1948 in Ames, Iowa to LaVerne and Katheryne Smith McMullen. On September 10, 1973, Jo was united in marriage to Royce Linder in Ely, Nevada. She received her Registered Nursing Degree from DMACC in 1993. She was a RN at Broadlawns Medical Center from 1994 until her retirement in 2013. Jo currently was working as a camp host at Outback Campground in Tama. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, shopping and especially spending time with her family and grandchildren, especially around Christmas time and the holidays.   Jo is survived by her husband of 45 years, Royce. Children: Teddy Hinders of Madrid, Wendy Bates of Albion, Jim (Angie) Linder of Reinbeck, Royceanna (Brian) Gord of Albion, Kevin (Stephanie) Linder of Nevada and Jenell (John) Jones of Clay Center, Kansas. She is also survived by twenty grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; sister, Dixie (Lennie) Carkhuff of Laurel; Uncle Buck of Missouri; sister-in-law, Wanda McMullen of Colo; brother-in-law, Delbert Ringgenberg of Center Point and many nieces, nephews and other family members.   Jo is preceded in death by her parents, LaVerne and Kathryne McMullen, in-laws Leroy and Grace Linder as well as four brothers and three sisters.
