Lyntha K. (David) Halfpop, age 59, of Marshalltown, passed away peacefully in the early morning of Thursday, March 8th, at the Iowa River Hospice Home with family at her side.A memorial gathering and celebration of her life will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 11, 2018, at the Mitchell family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Lyntha and her family.Born on August 28th, 1958, in Iowa Falls, Iowa, she was the daughter of Cecil and Doris (Smith) Windecker. She graduated from the Hubbard-Radcliffe High School in 1976.On April 1st, 1978, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, David Halfpop, in Zion Church in Hubbard, Iowa. Lyntha was a compassionate person who was devoted to the care of others while she was a CNA. She was most recently employed at KFC for the past eight years. She enjoyed cross-stitching, watching soap operas and treasured time with her family- especially those grandbabies!Left to cherish her memory is David, her loving husband of nearly 40 years; her children Erica( Adam) Halfpop of Ames and Jason(Amanda) Halfpop of Marshalltown; her precious grandchildren- Kelcie Dolash, and Bradyn and Miley Harris; siblings, Vicki (Mike) Lambertson of Rockwell, Iowa, Russell((Diane) of Iowa Falls, Terry(Sherri) of Iowa Falls, Chris( Mike) Heitland of Waterloo, Iowa and Jean( Dave) Bonawitz of Ackley, Iowa. In death, she rejoined her parents Cecil and Doris Windecker.
