Madelyn Doreen Lindsey, 92, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2012, at the Villa del Sol nursing home under the care of Iowa River Hospice.A private family memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 4, 2012 at the Mitchell Family Funeral home with burial at a later date. On February 22, 1942 Madelyn married the love of her life Edward H. Lindsey in Blue Earth, Minnesota. Madelyn was employed as the Department Head of Vaccine Animal Lab at Burns Biotec, Marshalltown Manufacturing and was also a housewife. Madelyn and Edward had previously lived in Kansas, Missouri and California before returning to Marshalltown in 1995.Left to cherish Madelyns memory are her daughters: Char (Marv) Schellenberg of St Louis, Missouri, Kathi (Brian) Kerr of Marshalltown, Patty (Henry) Deutschman of Prescott, Arizona and Deb (John) Watson of Monument, Colorado. Grandchildren: Kyle and Kendra Burnett, Jeff and Joe Frohwein, Robert Kerr, John, Tim and Adam Bryant, Jennifer Wilson and Lindsey and Dan Watson. Great grandchildren: Connor Burnett, Kyra Liles, David and Alex Kerr, Jorell Handorf, Jake, Max and Cole Bryant and Hannah, Jake and Alex WilsonMadelyn is preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister Muriel and grandchild Jason Frohwein.
