For condolences, please visit www.mitchellfh.com. The Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Donna and her family. Ph. 641-844-1234. Born on March 30th, 1940, in Marshalltown, she was one of five daughters born to Paul and Amelia (Stalzer) Neuroth. She attended St. Joseph Parochial School and graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Marshalltown. Her love for people was obvious in her working career. Work friendships began at Gra-Iron Foundry and later the KC Hall, Lincoln Valley Golf Club and Meskwaki Casino until her retirement after 22 faithful years. Haverhill was home all of her life until moving to Grandview Heights in December of 2020 due to health concerns. Her faith was near and dear to her heart. She was a faithful member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (now Oratory) and most recently St. Francis Parish in Marshalltown, the Catholic Order of Foresters, the Marshalltown Women’s Bowling Association and 600 Club. It was a good day in Donna’s life when she could bowl or attend craft shows, watch the Chicago Cubs or Iowa State Cyclones and spend time spent with family. She also sold Tupperware in years past. Left to cherish her memory are her sisters: Rosalene (Richard) Heil, Louise (Gary) Rutherford and Sandy Bailey, as well as 13 nieces, nephews and numerous great-nieces and nephews. Also, many cousins and friends will remember her fondly. Preceding her in death were her parents, Paul and Amelia, sister Gladys (Joe) Goodman, brother-in-law Donald Bailey and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.
