Manuel Rangel, 20, of Tama, Iowa passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2019 at Unity Point Health in Marshalltown. Services for Manuel will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 10:30 a.m at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Manuel and his family. Manuel Rangel Escarzaga was born on May 20, 1999 to parents Jose and Carmen (Escarzaga) Rangel in Marshalltown, Iowa. He was one of five children born to Jose and Carmen. He attended school in the South Tama Community School district and graduated in the class of 2017. Upon completion of high school, he furthered his education at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids and graduated with his AA degree. He was an employee of the Toledo Fareway as a stock clerk. In his free time, Manuel was a member of the CedarLoo Skateboard Association. He loved skateboarding when he had the opporitunity. He also enjoyed drawing, fishing, playing basketball and soccer, spending time with his family, and always being around with his nieces and nephews never missing a birthday party. Left to remember his memory are his parents Jose and Carmen Rangel; his siblings Jesus Rangel, David Rangel, Jose Rangel, and Abel Rangel; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
