Marcia Lynne Mccubbin

Marcia Lynne McCubbin, 78, of Marshalltown, IA passed away peacefully at home on February 20, 2025, under the care of Suncrest Hospice of Des Moines.

Marcia was born on April 5, 1946, to Jesse and Anabelle (Holcomb) Brown in Marshalltown. She graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1964. Marcia was married to Lee Fredrick Dutton until his passing. They were blessed with two children.

Marcia worked several jobs throughout her life, but her favorite was working as a lunch lady at Franklin Elementary School, where the kids knew her as “grandma.” Marcia loved spending time with her Dachshund, Frank, especially spending time outdoors together.

Marcia was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Anabelle, four siblings: Joe Brown, Jerry Brown, and Carol Navara (Brown) and her beloved dog, Frank. She is survived by her sons: Jason Dutton of Fort Dodge and Ben Dutton of Marshalltown, and her grandchildren: Chrystian, Alexis, Xavyer and Vernon Whyatt Dutton.
