Margaret Campbell

Margaret Campbell, 84, of the Bickford Cottages, 101 New Castle Road, Marshalltown, died Tuesday morning, March 6th, at her home while in care of the Iowa Hospice. Her death came peacefully at 7:20 a.m. A memorial gathering celebrating her life will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. Friday, March 9th, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at a later date in the Green Mountain Cemetery. For condolences, please visit www.mitchellfh.com. The Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Margaret and her family. Born Margaret Hennis on July 11th, 1922, she was the daughter of August and Martha (Johnson) Hennis. She received her education in the area of her birth. Margaret was united in marriage to Dick Campbell and the couple farmed in the Tama/Gilman area before moving to Crystal Township near Garwin in 1964. In 1991, they moved to Marshalltown on Huisman Circle until she moved to Bickford Cottages in 2003. Left to celebrate her life is her son Darrell (Linda) of Green Mountain, grandson Tom (Lucy) of Altoona, three great-grandchildren: Eric, Colton and Whitney and numerous nieces and nephews as well as her Bickford Cottage family. In death she has rejoined her husband, Dick, her parents, her siblings: Alice Luff, Leland Hennis, Ruth Hartwig, Donald Dutch Hennis, Kathryn Smith, Dorothy Mehlisch, Glencoe Hennis, Edith McKelvey and Lois Hennis.
