Margaret Peg Jackley, 74, of Beaman, died Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at the Iowa River Hospice House.Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 24, 2010, at St. Henry Catholic Church. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday evening at St. Henry from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., with a 7:00 p.m. vigil service. Margaret Ann Jackley was born on January 31, 1936, at Sibley Hospital in Sibley, Iowa. She was the daughter of Leo Anthony Seivert and Marjorie Alice (Groen) Seivert. She received her education in Ashton, Iowa, graduating from St. Marys High School in Ashton, Iowa, in 1954. Peg married Mervin Francis Jackley on May, 31, 1955, in Ashton, Iowa. Mervin died in 1969. She then married William Alexander, who passed in 2001. She had resided in Ashton and then moved to Conrad, Iowa, and later moved to a farm in between Beaman and Conrad, where she had resided until her death. She was member of the Beaman Auxiliary and Village and Vale, and enjoyed gardening and bird watching. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Patricia Jackley of Dallas, Texas; David (Beth) Jackley of Beaman and their children Whitney, Logan and Clark; Dennis Jackley and his daughter Bethanie; and Michael Jackley Sr.s children Jasmine and Michael Jr.; along with Pegs siblings: Marilyn Seivert, Norma Seivert and Daniel Seivert. She was preceded in death by her husbands Mervin and William; her son Michael Jackley Sr.; and her siblings John Seivert and infant brother Joseph Seivert.
