Margaret Judge

Margaret Judge, age 83, of Marshalltown, left her earthly body and joined her Lord and Savior at 6:32 p.m. on Sunday evening, July 9th, at home surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 13th, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one-hour prior to the services. Memorials may be directed to her family. For condolences, please visit www.mitchellfh.com. Ph. 641-844-1234. Born Margaret Gummert on April 27th, 1934, in Quarry, Iowa, she was one of eight daughters born to Guy and Fern (Dudley) Gummert. She received her education in the area of her birth. Margaret was a hard-working woman who treasured her family. She followed her heart and worked in areas she could care for others- Deaconess Hospital, the Embers and Big Brothers/Big Sisters as well as Marshall Creamery. In spare time, she enjoyed long walks, gardening, and fishing. Left to cherish her memory are her children- Cindy Eggers of Garwin, Tim Judge of Marshalltown, Wayne (Julie) Judge of Marshalltown, Ann Judge of Marshalltown, Mike (Laurie) Judge of Chicago, Melinda (Dan) Burton of Marshalltown, and John (Cari) Judge of Garwin; grandchildren- Kenny, Brian, Chad and Travis (Stephanie) Hatch, Mark Judge, Adam Buhr, Jacob and Jasmine Judge, Nicholas and Rachel Burton, and Nathan and Isaac Judge. Also surviving are great-grandchildren- Gillian Carnicle, Lexi Ladehoff and Ashlynn and J.J. Peters; her sisters- Emma Richards, Fern Mull and Edith Pothast as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In death, she rejoined her parents and sisters-Virginia Stallwood, Ruth Spencer, Susan Gottfried and Gladys Long.
