Margaret Reinertson, 93, of Marshalltown, formerly of Ocheyedan, Iowa, died April 29, 2007 at Southridge Nursing and Rehab Center. Memorial services and a celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 5th at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be directed to Iowa River Hospice or the Ocheyedan United Methodist Church. For condolences, please visit www.mitchellfh.com. The Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Margaret and her family. Born on March 14, 1914, in Bock, Saskatchewan, Canada, she was the daughter of James Judisch and Ms. Bailey. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in Des Moines. She took her nurses training at the University of Iowa and received her Bachelors Degree from Drake University, as well as her Masters Degree in Chicago. From 1943 to 1945 she served as a Navy nurse. On June 26, 1982, in Chicago, Illinois at the Chicago Temple, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Reinertson. Most of their married life was spent in Ocheyedan, Iowa until they recently moved to Marshalltown. She was employed as a nurse and a Master social worker. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the United Methodist Church, where she was involved in mission work. She also enjoyed photography. Left to mourn her loss are her loving husband, Kenneth, her step children: Eric (Martha) Reinertson of Huxley, Dr. John (Kathleen) Reinertson of Marshalltown, Mary (Glen) Brockshus of Red Oak, Ellen (Bob) Raw of Cold Spring, Minnesota, and Jim (Jenny) Reinertson of St. Peter, Minnesota; 8 step grandchildren, 9 step great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In death she has rejoined her parents, twin sisters: Pearl and Miriam, and brother, Ken.
